As you see that dream job in your sights, here are 7 steps to take to get you there:

1. Update your résumé. While ideally your résumé is customized for a specific job, having an up-to-date résumé targeted for a specific “type” of position is the next best thing. If it’s been a minute since you’ve updated your resume, you have, no doubt, had accomplishments, been given additional responsibilities, maybe even started a new job. Have you added new training or educational credentials? What about your target position? Maybe you are ready to pivot to a new industry?
